Import your bar

Bring your existing recipe book as a PDF, spreadsheet or photo. Jery reads it into drafts for you to review before anything is saved. Most of setup is reviewing, not typing, and you can start with just one drink.

Silent loop: The House Recipe Book PDF as a stack of pages beside its Import queue: 42 recipes found on 234 pages, six rows each with the page it came from, Corpse Reviver No. 2 needing a look, Paper Plane already in the bar, and Import 38 ready; the queue then resets and reads the book again, each page shrinking into its row.

Why switching systems usually stalls

The whole program lives in a binder, three spreadsheets and a group chat.

Bring your existing recipes together

Jery reads drinks, house batches and products from your existing files, then lets you review each one before importing.

Half our house batches were never written down.

Keep missing batches marked as pending

If a drink uses a house batch with no recipe, Jery creates a placeholder marked "Spec pending". The recipe stays blank until someone on your team fills it in.

Last time we switched, cleaning up the import took a week.

Undo a whole import, keep your edits

An owner or admin can undo an import in one go. Jery keeps anything you've since edited or linked to sales, and shows you exactly what's being preserved.

Get your bar started in an afternoon

Work through them in this order, or stop after the first two and come back later.

  1. At sign-up

    Set up the bar

Enter your bar's name, country and venue type, then invite your first team members. Jery suggests currency, units and tax settings based on your country, and you can change them. Your team signs in with a one-time code or Google, without needing a password.

  2. The first hour

    Bring your recipes in

Drop in the recipe book as a PDF, a spreadsheet, a menu photo or another tool's export. A long book is read page by page, and every drink waits in one queue for your review.

If a drink already exists in Jery, you choose whether to link it to the existing recipe, keep your version, replace it or keep both.

  3. That afternoon

Scan bottles or upload your stock sheet

Upload the stock sheet you use now, or scan bottles with any phone using a QR code from your computer. Jery suggests each bottle's name, size, ABV and category for you to review. Nothing is imported until you approve it.

Scanning identifies the bottles you use. Prices, starting quantities and par levels stay yours to set.

  4. As invoices arrive

    Forward your supplier invoices

Forward supplier invoices to your bar's own Jery address or send them through chat. Match each supplier line to the right product once, and Jery remembers it. When you approve an invoice, the new prices feed into your recipe costs. You can also enter prices manually if you want to start with a single drink.

Connect your POS

Connect Toast, Square, Clover or Oracle Simphony for nightly sales updates. For other POS systems, upload a sales export and Jery remembers the format for next time.

  • Match each sold item to a recipeJery suggests a match for each POS item. Accept it, correct it or create a new item from a draft that's already filled in. Once confirmed, Jery remembers the match.
  • Bring your sales history tooA direct connection pulls in past sales as well, and uploads that overlap never count a night twice.

Setup questions

Do I have to bring everything in before it's any use?

No. Set up your bar, bring in one recipe and enter the prices of the ingredients it uses. Jery can cost that drink straight away. Import the rest when you're ready, with longer recipe books processed in the background and reviewed through one queue.

What if the import gets something wrong?

Nothing is saved until you approve the import. If Jery can't read a name or quantity, it flags the row for review. Unreadable pages are listed so you can try again. Jery only imports prices shown in the source and never guesses stock quantities from a photo.

Can you do the import for us?

Yes. We offer guided setup, where we prepare the import for you. It costs $490 as a one-time fee and is included at no extra charge with annual plans. You still review everything before it's saved.

Does it work outside the US?

Yes. Recipes take milliliters, centiliters, ounces or grams, and a pint is an imperial pint in the UK and Ireland. An invoice in another currency converts into your bar's at the European Central Bank's rate for its date.

We're opening a second bar. Do we import it all again?

No. An owner or admin can create a new bar from one you already run in Jery, copying recipes, bottles, batches, menus, designs and settings. Team access and billing stay separate, and the new location starts with its own invoices and sales.

Make the switch without starting over

Early access is free for your whole team, with no card. Founding bars keep 30% off list for 12 months on annual billing. Plans from $149 per bar a month, billed annually.
