Silent loop: The Marlowe's September so far on one card: profit $111,863, margin 80.5% and $382 of unaccounted stock beside the month's nights up to today; margin opens into the Buffalo Trace price rise (+9.0%, $392 a month across 3 drinks), unaccounted stock into its 5.6 missing bottles ($178).

Where the numbers go missing

A supplier raises prices, but you don't see the hit to your margins until month-end.

See the margin impact when prices change

Approve the invoice and Jery shows which drinks now cost more, their margins before and after, and what you'd need to charge to restore them.

Invoices & prices

The numbers say stock is missing, but nobody knows why.

See which stock doesn't add up, and what it's worth

Jery shows the gap between counts in bottles and dollars, and flags missing paperwork before treating anything as a loss.

Stock & counts

Each bar reports its own way, so the numbers never line up.

Compare every bar using the same numbers

See sales, margins, stock and unaccounted amounts side by side. Each bar keeps its own recipes and team, but the figures are calculated the same way.

Margin for any night, week or month

Connected POS systems sync overnight, so you can review last night's margins by morning. If yours isn't connected, upload its sales export. Match a POS item to a drink once, and Jery remembers it.

What it asks of your team

Your team keeps doing the work they already do: managing recipes, checking deliveries and counting stock. Jery keeps the numbers connected as they go.

  1. Day one

    Start with one drink

Your manager can start with one drink or import the whole recipe book. Jery turns a PDF, spreadsheet or photo of the menu into drafts to review. Nothing is saved until someone approves it.

    Import your bar
  2. Every delivery

    Keep supplier prices current

Forward supplier invoices to your bar's Jery address or upload a price list. Once an invoice is approved, Jery updates the costs of drinks that use those products. Approved invoices can also be exported for your accountant.

  3. Count night

    Count stock as usual

Your team counts stock shelf by shelf on their phones, tapping or calling out quantities. Once there are two counts to compare, Jery shows what's unaccounted for in bottles and dollars.

Numbers you can check

Every figure says what it's built from. Where Jery can't know, it shows a blank and the reason, never a zero.

  • MarginCompares what guests actually paid with each drink's ingredient cost, including house batches. When tax tracking is on, tax is removed first. Jery also shows how much of your sales is matched to costed drinks.
  • Price movesJery picks up price changes from approved invoices. If a change crosses your threshold, it shows which menu drinks are affected. You decide whether to change their prices.
  • Unaccounted stockJery compares opening and closing counts with deliveries, sales, logged waste and batches made. It shows unexplained gaps by item, in bottles and dollars, and flags paperwork issues before anyone assumes stock was lost.
  • The nights aheadJery estimates a sales range for each night over the next four weeks and shows how past forecasts held up. At the Marlowe, 20 of the last 28 nights fell within the predicted range.
  • Who changed whatEvery recipe, price, product and menu keeps a History, before and after. Owners and admins see a bar-wide Activity log.

Questions owners ask

More in the FAQ, and the math in Bar profit margin: what a cocktail bar really keeps.

If our bar manager leaves, does the program leave with them?

No. Recipes, batches, menus and prices stay with the bar, not an individual login. Jery keeps a history of changes, and an owner or admin can give the next manager access.

What does it cost?

Early access costs nothing and needs no card. When billing starts, Core is $149 and Pro $299 per bar a month, billed annually, with your whole team included. Founding bars keep 30% off list for 12 months on annual billing. See pricing.

Does it work with our POS and our accountant?

Toast, Square, Clover and Oracle Simphony sync sales nightly. Other POS systems work through uploaded sales files.

For your accountant, you can export approved invoices by date range as a CSV organized by line type or a ZIP of the original files.

Can we run more than one bar on it?

Each bar runs on its own data and team, and the group view puts them side by side: sales, margin, stock on hand and loss, bar by bar. Talk to us about group pricing. Hotels & groups.

Can we take our records out, or leave?

Yes to both. Inventory exports as Excel or CSV, approved invoices as CSV or the original files, sales by item as CSV and menus as print-ready PDFs. To leave, request deletion in the app and confirm by email. No phone call.

Does it cover food?

Jery is built for drinks. Food sales from the same POS can be grouped under Food, with an estimated margin you set, so they're included in the night's sales and profit totals.
