Jery vs Backbar
Backbar covers beverage inventory, stock counts and ordering. Jery connects those jobs with drink costing through house batches, prep planning based on forecast sales and menus built from the same recipes.
Jery might be a better fit if
- Your drinks use house batches, and you want costs, ABV and allergens to update through them.
- You want your sales forecast to guide what the team preps.
- You want menus built, designed and published from the same recipes.
- You want Jery to draft changes for you to review and approve.

Questions
More in the FAQ.
Can I run Jery and Backbar side by side for a while?
Yes. Import your Backbar export into Jery and keep counting in Backbar until you trust the numbers. Nothing in Jery touches your Backbar account.
Can Jery cost a drink that uses a house syrup?
Yes. Jery costs each house syrup or pre-batch as its own recipe, then includes that cost in every drink that uses it. The same applies when one batch contains another. ABV, dilution and allergens also carry through the recipes.
Can I count by scanning barcodes?
Yes. Scan a bottle on the shelf to count it, or scan a new one to add it. You can also count by tap or out loud, area by area.
Will Jery read my Backbar recipes?
Yes, if you can export them as a spreadsheet. Jery brings the recipes into the import queue, where you can check each drink before saving it.
Does my POS connect?
Toast, Square, Clover and Oracle Simphony connect directly and sync every night, with more connectors on the way. Any other POS works from its sales export. See integrations.
